Are you a college student or recent graduate looking for summer experience in a conservation program that protects endangered birds in their nesting habitat? Are you looking for work on Ventura County beaches?

Please join us this summer!

Primary responsibilities: Conduct public outreach to educate the public about the western snowy plover and California least tern on two VAS project beaches in Ventura County.  Interns will be trained to understand the history, habitat needs, breeding biology and field survey methods of both species and will in turn teach the public this information.   Interns will interact closely with our outreach coordinator, biologists, and program volunteers and there will be some opportunities for field work alongside our biologists.

We are ESPECIALLY looking for interns who are interested in creating short educational videos for social media!
